Art Curation & Production

Bringing the right talent together with the right project has always been part of fam°s DNA, which made the art curation for Regnum The Crown a natural fit for us. Developed in collaboration with Studio Erk, the project brought together a diverse group of artists to create and curate works for the hotel’s public spaces and guest rooms.

With each space carrying its own atmosphere, function and design language, the process was about finding the right artist for each setting and developing the right brief for every piece. Balancing the client’s vision with the architectural and interior design approach, while leaving enough room for each artist’s own practice, made the process complex in the best possible way. Rather than treating art as a decorative layer, we approached the collection as part of the spatial experience, allowing art, architecture and design to inform one another.

With an architectural practice at our core, we begin by reading each space through its plans, identifying the right locations and scales for artwork. From there, we study the mood, materiality and spatial character of each setting to shape a curation that feels naturally embedded in the architecture.

Bespoke Wallpaper Patterns by Dilara Karakaş

For the niches along the main corridor, we developed a series of four patterns inspired by nature and the textures of tree bark. Organic lines were abstracted into compositions with soft tonal transitions referencing earth and greenery.

Designed to share a visual language without becoming repetitive, the patterns were placed across adjacent niches to create the feeling of a small, unfolding exhibition along the corridor. The final artworks were produced as custom-printed wallpaper.

Check-in & Check-out
Artwork Series by Tutku Sevinç

For the check-in and check-out areas, we developed a series of alternative artwork sets with an abstract, calm yet playful character.

Alongside green-led compositions, we explored different colour palettes that introduce a subtle contrast to the predominantly timber interior. The selection was conceived to bring a sense of lightness and calm to these transitional spaces while remaining closely connected to the overall material palette.

The works were printed on linen and presented in timber floating frames.

Eva À La Carte Restaurant
Artworks by Nazlı Çelebi, Production by Ozan Atalay and Selva Kaya

The artworks for Eva À La Carte were developed in response to an interior that reinterprets classical references through a contemporary lens. Historical cues embedded in the colours and materials of the space were carried into the artwork selection, creating a dialogue between past and present.

Working within production and budget parameters, the final pieces were developed digitally with AI-assisted tools and finished with varnish to give the printed works a more tactile, painterly presence.

As the artwork areas were already framed by decorative wall mouldings, no additional frames were introduced. Instead, a dark border was incorporated directly into the canvas prints, allowing each piece to sit naturally within the architectural composition.

Wine&Tapas Bar
Gallery Wall Artworks by Çağlar Bıyıkoğlu, Eda Çağıl Çağlarırmak, Maya Kurdoğlu, Eylül Deniz Ergun, Melike Erkan

For the wine&tapas bar, we curated two gallery walls bringing together works across different scales, techniques and mediums.

Photography, illustration and painting come together through references to wine culture, from vineyards and glassware to shared table scenes. Each work was selected not only for its individual character, but for the relationship it creates with the pieces around it. The resulting compositions balance rhythm, scale and tone to form cohesive walls that feel collected rather than decorated.
